    Adana To Celebrate Tenth Anniversary

    International Adana Half Marathon will stage its tenth edition on 5 January. Entries are accepted until Thursday, 2 January.

    Organised since 2011, the event will once again host the distance runners in the first major road race of the year. Where African athletes have been dominating for the past seven editions, men’s race record is held by Kenya’s Barselius Kipyego with 1:00:46, standing from 2016, and the women’s record was set by his compatriot Diana Kipyokei in 2018 with a time of 1:08:42.

    Registration to the event is processed at adanakurtulusmaratonu.adana.bel.tr. Top ten athletes in the half marathon will receive prize money while the winners will pocket 20 thousand Turkish Liras. Master athletes who top the podium will also leave Adana with cash awards. The event includes a 4km Public Run as well.

    Last Entries for Gazi Half Marathon

    Gazi Half Marathon, scheduled to 22 December, is likely to reach its quota of 1,000 participants before the entry closing date.

    Following the Liberation Run at a distance of 10km in 2017 and the very successful inaugural edition of the half marathon last year, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality is set to host the road runners at the 2nd Gazi Half Marathon on Sunday, 22 December. The registration for the event had been announced to remain open until 18 December at www.gaziyarimaratonu.org, however, the number of the confirmed entries is already close to the participation limit, which is one thousand, and the registration might be closed earlier if this pre-determined quota is reached. A 5km public run is incorporated in the programme of the day.

    The total prize money of 35,000 Turkish Liras offered for the overall classification in its first year is now generously raised to 110,000 Turkish Liras by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality. Master men up to over 70 years of age and master women up to over 65 will also pocket prize money. Cash awards are on stake only for the Turkish citizens at the Gazi Half Marathon.

    Iron Men Head Back To Belek

    Belek, the popular tourist destination in Antalya, will once again host the IRONMAN 70.3. The event is on the 3rd of November.

    Following a successful edition last year, IRONMAN 70.3 Turkey entrusted Depar Timing with timing and classification also this year. A multi-national expert Depar Timing team will be in charge in Belek for the swim/bike/run event with great importance, offering 40 qualifying slots for the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupo, New Zealand next year

    The "70.3" in the name of the event refers to the total distance in miles (113.0 km) covered in the race, consisting of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run.

    Back To Dudullu on 29 October

    Dudullu Organized Industrial Zone will host the third edition of the 8km Atatürk Run on 29 October, the Republic Day of Turkey.

    The first running event staged within an organized industrial zone in Turkey is set to welcome the road runners once again on Tuesday, 29th of October. A Kids Run of 200m will kick off the program at 14:15, and a second Kids Run at a distance of 500m will follow at 14:30. The start time of the 8km Atatürk Run is 15:00. The event will conclude with the Victory Ceremony and the Closing Party .

    The “Organized Industrial Zone” is a system that offers easier and more competitive production for medium and small size operations that cooperatively manufacture products, by utilizing common substructure facilities on a well-planned site. The 8km race in Dudullu is run on the asphalt surface free of motorised traffic within the borders of the Organized Industrial Zone.

    The finishing times and the classification in the race will be provided by Depar Timing. The event information is available at ataturkkosusu.com.

    8 Events in 4 Days

    11th International Arena Aquamasters Swimming Championships will host eight different events in Bodrum on 26-29 October.

    Title-sponsored by the world leading water sports brand Arena and supported by the brand’s Turkish distributor Sportive, International Arena Aquamasters Swimming Championships is a part of the collaboration between Turkish Swimming Federation and Sportive Inc. The most comprehensive swimming event of the Mediterranean region will gather swimmers for 11th time, with Depar Timing providing the timing services once again. The races will start on Saturday, 26th of October and finish on Tuesday, 29 October, the Republic Day of Turkey. Detailed information and the entry form can be accessed at www.aquamasters.org.
