    Bike Days in Sakarya

    Sakarya is prepared to welcome the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup and Sakarya Mountain Bike Cup from 23rd to 31st of October.

    Sunflower Bike Valley continues hosting the important events of the International Cycling Union (UCI). World’s best supercross bikers will battle it out at four stages of the World Cup on 23-24 and 30-31 October while mountain bike races will be staged on 23, 25, 27 and 31 October. The events will conclude with the MTB Night Cup on the last day starting at 19:00. Timing services of the challenging events as well as the television graphics will be provided by Depar Timing.

    Swimmers In Alanya

    Turkey stage of the Oceanman Open Water Swimming Races is set to be held on 16-17 October. The event will be hosted in Alanya.

    The races will gather swimmers of all ages. On Saturday, October the 16th, participants of 7 to 14 years of age will be the first group to jump into the water for the Oceankids race over a distance of 500m. Oceankids will be followed by the Oceanteam, a challenge for teams of three members, each to swim 750m. The first day will be concluded by the Oceanman 2km in which there will be age group rankings up to over 70 years. On Sunday morning, Cleopatra and Keykubat beaches will host the participants in 5km and 10km races.

    Timing services at the Oceanman Turkey will be provided by Depar Timing.

    Busy Weekend For Depar Timing

    Depar Timing’s multinational teams are set to deliver timing and graphic services in three countries on 25 and 26 September.

    Depar Timing, the electronic timing pioneer in Turkey, continues to be a reliable partner abroad as well as at home. Having provided timing and side services in over 400 events, skilled team members will be on duty at two road running races and a swimming race in the same weekend.

    Croatia’s Losinj Half Marathon, celebrating its 10th edition this year, entrusted Depar Timing with timing and classification of the participants on Saturday, 25 September. The event includes a 10km race and a “city run” over 5km for the runners under 16 years of age.

    Brasov, a city in the Transylvania region of Romania, will host the inaugural “Running Festival” on Sunday, 26 September. Depar Timing will take charge of the timing services at the elite 10km race. The 600m run for 6-9 year-old children and the 1km race for 10-12 age group is also of great interest for the Brasov citizens.

    A third Depar Timing team will be attending the 4th International Rumkale Water Sports Festival in Turkey, Gaziantep on 26 September.

    Besides electronic timing, Depar Timing offers a wide range of side services including television graphics, commentator information systems, LED screens and certificate printing to ensure higher standards in road running, cross country, mountain running, swimming, cycling, triathlon, Ironman and classic car events.

    Back To Rumkale

    Following the cancellation of the event in 2020, International Rumkale Water Sports Festival resumes on 26 September this year.

    Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, the organiser of the Festival, had to cancel last year’s event due to the pandemic after the very successful three editions between 2017 and 2019. Water sports enthusiasts will meet again in Rumkale for the dragon boat, water polo and swimming races.

    Depar Timing is set to provide the timing services at the Open Water Swimming Races within the 4th International Rumkale Water Sports Festival. The 800m race for the 11-12 year-old swimmers will start at 11:30 and will be followed by the age groups of 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-29 and 30+ over a distance of 2021m on Sunday, 26 September. Around 350 swimmers are expected to participate in the races.

    Half Marathon Time In Izmir

    The ninth edition of the 9 September Izmir Half Marathon, the traditional event of Izmir, will be staged on Sunday, 5 September.

    Having been granted a World Athletics Label for the first time, the race is set to start at 07:00 on Sunday morning. The start will be given in waves of 500 athletes each 3 seconds under the Covid-19 measures.

    In addition to the overall classification, the event accommodates nine age groups in men and seven groups on the women’s side. Both male and female winners of the race will pocket 7,500 Turkish Liras while the top master athletes in each age group will receive 750 Liras.

    Timing services in Izmir will be provided by Depar Timing. The multi-national Depar Timing team will also be in charge of distributing the transponders during kit collection on 3-4 September.
