    Duathlon Finals In Gazipaşa

    Antalya is set to host the season-end race in duathlon. Gazipaşa Duathlon, incorporating the Turkish finals, is on 4 November.

    The event is organised at the Selinus Beach by the Turkish Triathlon Federation with the support of Gazipaşa Municipality. Participants in the cadets, younger juniors, juniors, elites, paralympic and age group categories will compete over a running leg, followed by a cycling leg and then another running leg.

    Timing services at the Gazipaşa Duathlon will be provided by Depar Timing.

    World Record In Half Marathon

    Abraham Kiptum of Kenya broke the men’s world record in Spain. The 29-year-old clocked 58:18 at the Valencia Half Marathon.

    Having improved his career best time to 59:09 in Copenhagen six weeks ago, Kiptum went beyond his expectations in Valencia where he arrived with his first sub-59 minutes in mind. The Kenyan reached the 10km in 28:02 and the 15km in 41:40 on his way to the world record time of 58:18, slicing 5 seconds off the previous record held by Zersenay Tadese of Eritrea since 2010.

    Ethiopian athletes followed Abraham Kiptum on the podium. Jemal Yimer finished in 58:33 to take the second place, Abadi Hadis was third with 58:44.

    Belek Awaiting The Iron Men

    Belek, the popular tourist destination in Antalya, will host the swim/bike/run event “IRONMAN 70.3 Turkey 2018” on 28 October.                                                       

    IRONMAN 70.3 Turkey 2018, being of a great importance since it offers 50 qualifying slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France next year, entrusted Depar Timing with timing and classification. A multi-national expert Depar Timing team will be in charge in Belek.

    The "70.3" in the name of the event refers to the total distance in miles (113.0 km) covered in the race, consisting of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run.

    Let’s Meet in Istanbul on 29 October

    Dudullu Organized Industrial Zone will host the second edition of the 8km Atatürk Run. The race accepts entries until 24 October.

    The first running event staged by an organized industrial zone in Turkey is set to welcome the road runners on the very day marking the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey. A Kids Run of 200m will kick off the program at 14:15, and a second Kids Run at a distance of 500m will follow at 14:30. The start time of the 8km Atatürk Run, offering five thousand Turkish Liras to each of the men’s and women’s winners, is 15:00. The event will conclude with the Victory Ceremony and the Closing Party .

    The Organized Industrial Zone is a system that offers easier and more competitive production for medium and small size operations that cooperatively manufacture products, by utilizing common substructure facilities on a well-planned site. The 8km race in Dudullu will be run on the asphalt surface within the Zone, and it is limited to 1500 participants.     Let’s Meet in Kocaeli on 28 October

    The City of Kocaeli will once again celebrate the Republic Day with its traditional road run. Entries for the 10km race is open.

    The sixth edition of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Republic Run is scheduled to start in Sekapark on Sunday morning, 28 October. The 10km race offers 5 thousand Turkish Liras for the winners as well as prize money for the master athletes to make the podium. The event incorporates a Public Run of 3km and a “Kids Marathon” over a distance of 1km.

    Registration to the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Republic Run is possible until Friday, 26 October at https://ebelediye.kocaeli.bel.tr/cumhuriyetkosusu. Timing services in the race will be provided by Depar Timing.
